What's one thing that's confusing about Farcaster?

Why do you think it's more obvious that Ethereum : MetMask are separate concepts?

I think bc ppl don't disambiguate the underlying architecture of a social media app whereas on money : wallet are two separate things to most. And farcaster is phonetically superior

It might be a circular reference between the two. Makes it easy to mix it up for people who just learned about it. "Warpcaster" is a popular one :)

Metamask is your physical wallet and Ethereum is the market you’re interacting with. It’s easier to understand.

I think a good analogy here would be Internet and a browser.

Thank you eggman. And even you are being extremely kind. Besides the spaghetti onboarding process, there is no advantage to the average person to onboard. That is WRONG of course, but who  evangelizes onchain? @chusla for sure. @pichi is excellent at explaining, but she's mainly explaining onboard concepts AFAIK

MetaMask is already very difficult to explain to the normies. That's why lots of them are still hodling strong on FTX and the likes.

As someone who's quite 'techy', but struggles with a lot of the crypto terminology, I'd argue that even the eth/metamask distinction was a difficult concept to get my head around. 

I thought it was some kind of a scam when my friend told me about farcast, and the link took me to warpcast 😶‍🌫️

both words contain “cast”. Ethereum is the world computer, there is no comparison actually
