Launched as Farcaster, renamed to Warpcast, soon back to Farcaster. Launched channels, speculation they might be doing away with them in the near future. Rumors of charging for "Pro" features. Y'all OK over there?

that all feels like pretty good change to me would rather see them experiment and understand what works then get stuck

channels worked. it just didnt work for what merkle wanted out of them. if they do choose to remove them from the app ui, i hope they decentralize them for those of us who see value in them to keep building on them.

Channels didn’t grow the user base. If we change how channels work, we will most likely decentralize them in a way other apps can better support channel owners / communities.

Thanks, Dan. I understand your reasoning for why channels "didn't work" and why it's not a priority at MM. I've never questioned that. It's giving up on them altogether that saddens me. I'm glad to see decentralization of channels being considered, and giving other apps the chance to build toward a solution many community builders have been waiting for.
