Edit casts opp has to be a top priority for all of us ESL users (and not only). You guys literally have no idea how exposed we are without this option. I’m always 100% worried about saying something incorrectly and looking dumb. It’s a me problem more than anything but it is extremely hard not to be self-conscious about using the dominant language of this platform. Add folks with dyslexia/dysgraphia and adhd to the mix. People want to use Farcaster freely without worrying about stupid grammar errors and typos. I understand the argument behind “nothing should be changed on blockchain”, but if really needed, we can always pull up the history of onchain transactions/edits. Making all users comfortable casting here is way more important than some bs high concept blockchain ideology imo.

Is there a technical challenge to adding pinned casts on profiles, or was there a decision not to add it for some sort of usability reason? I would have assumed pinning on profiles is no harder to add than pinning on channels.

Edit casts 👉 would increase quality content a) spelling and grammar issues detract from a quality cast (looks sloppy) b) theory: people would add to their previous comments and build them out more if they could edit them… making higher quality casts

I think pinned casts would indirectly contribute to user retention. It lets people highlight their most interesting ideas/qualities for people who land on their profile, which increases the likelihood that they'll get a follow which increases the likelihood they'll retain.
