I disagree.
From the scope of product or business, I can understand where you or others might have grace.
However, in this case and what seems to be this entire ecosystems case since base arrive arrived is trying to create a profitable business using creators as the product. Overselling and over hyping dreams to already exhausted and vulnerable set of humans.
Being greedy with dreams to scale, while lacking confidence to build things slow and organically.
If the relentless false hype and marketing wasn’t a thing. I myself would show grace. But the lifespan of these pivots is so short and so often, and quite frankly reckless & extractive as the industries this space markets to replace.
I have no grace left for dark patterns & no sympathy for a business model that extracts and doesn’t add value to the word.
That is the entire web3 fail point. The absurd speed of income being made & lost daily. It’s poisoned builders and founders to chase scale at all costs like botting their own platforms, fake it till you make it, instead of building something great and organic and let real human users slowly fall in love and spread the word.
There is one thing I have zero tolerance for and that’s inauthenticity & dishonesty.
This space is run by people who lost the plot seeing pumpfun maddness in a post Elon twitter & cheered when trump got elected to pump their bags.
This world needs zero trading apps. If this tech can’t preserve media and information, solve censorship and privacy or fix real pain points (outside of monetary) then this space is poison, that enshitified itself too early before reaching meaningful adoption.
