This weekend I cut off almost the entirety of the finger pad on my right index finger I dropped my aluminium foil, as I tried to catch it the serrated edge sawed into my finger The worst part? I can't unlock my mac with that finger print now

Oh no, that sounds painful… and losing fingerprint access just adds to the inconvenience! Hope you heal up soon and can get back to unlocking your Mac with ease!
