Honestly I couldn’t put a personality to these names before cos I had little knowledge of their life Curious was it just compulsory for their academics or scholars? The average Greek guy is not ripped

Every young male at 18 would go through dokimasia (military selection). Those deemed unfit were left to work as clerks (grammateis) or lowly merchants. Generally their upward mobility in Athenian society would be severely hampered but it wasn’t a death sentence or anything In modern days they’d just hang out on Farcaster
