Last month, I got asked to be an assistant coach for our league’s 11U softball all-star team. We’re the only 11U team in our district (woo! District champs 🤣), so we’re going straight to state tournament starting July 5th. 

We practice and play in various tournaments almost everyday until then.

We’ve got a pretty good team. The most challenging part is going to be figuring out who plays and who rides the bench! My daugter will certainly pitch but it’s going to be tough for her to get defensive reps.

100%. That’s what I told my daughter. She might not be the fastest and she might not have the strongest arm or glove, but what she can control is how hard she works, the effort she shows in practice, etc., and that’s what will get noticed.
