I Took a Photo!

I took a photo of Dan Bilzerian.
Fuck it. I am in the top 80 rankings this week with 24 hours to go so I am gonna hit you with another banger of a story. This is the story about how I got sued an Instagram famous poker player and Larry Flynt.

Back in 2014 I worked for Hustler Magazine. They were shockingly one of my best clients. Other than Vice, the are the only client I have had that paid for me to shoot 35mm film. My editor let me do whatever I wanted. I would use Hustler to pay for road trips because I would just photograp a few models along the way.

In April I had shot some of my all time favorite work for them. I went into the office to show what I had shot recently and they wanted all of it. It would be months before I got paid because they would spread it out and you don't get paid until after it was published, but in total it was about $10k worth of work. Anyway, so I get to the shoot and Dan is kinda acting like a douchebag. He doesn't think Janice or the other girl is hot enough for his standards and asks me to keep them blurry in the background. I just sort of grit my teeth and do what he says because a writer and a higher up from Hustler is there overseeing the whole thing. Usually on these assignment it's just me. I sit there for the interview and other than being kinda a douche, he was actually a pretty interesting guy. (and yes I did photoshop out a nipple or two)

The rest of the story I can't get into too much, but fortunately for you TMZ covered it in great detail. But TL;DR is that someone had the idea to have Dan throw Janice into the pool. So after my meeting with Hustler they mention they needed a photographer to shoot a photo of some sort of Instagram influencer named Dan Bilzerian for an interview. I had never heard of him, and photos for interviews paid a lot less than photographing women, but they had hired my friend Janice for the shoot and I had nothing to do that day so I agreed. For legal reasons there probably won't be many photos going forward...
