1/3. Judging by the reviews on the leaderboard, after @dwr.eth effected these tier changes, a lot of users have experienced occasional point reduction, and I think this might be due to storage issues 

As it can be seen in the image; Dan said, interactions and point earned, on deleted casts, deleted recasts and deleted replies would no longer be counted

3/3. @garrett earlier spoke about how he missed out on the top #10 on consecutive occasions, and I feel he might just be a victim of the sudden point reduction. Who knows how many more might’ve tanked in rank, as a result.

I always attributed this type of thing to competition heating up in the final hours of competition + the older account penalty 

But, to your point, a like from me does not last long. My storage is full full full

Formerly, it used to be “older account penalty v newer account privilege”, and that’s just for the competition 

But never, before this new change, was it reported that there was some point reduction 

And your last point YES !! Point reduction is very closely related with storage being “full full full”😅
