i need to acquire a solid consumer (maybe consumer plusβ’) grade 3d printer any recommendations? (brands and/or specific models) is PLA still the material to go with? i don't need a large build volume. parts don't need to handle high stress. i'll be doing mostly R&D/prototyping and low-volume fab. my prior experience was intensive but about 10 years ago (mostly Makerbots using PLA)

ty! will consider.. as i'm sure you know, cycle time is often the bottleneck for a lot of things R&D. tolerances are hard
