Please plan a bugfix only sprint, no one will return to this app with the current experience (for me, on Android) Also can add many more to the list below - video upload not working - slow / frame drops during scrolling until complete app shutdown - profile won't load until you swipe between tabs - share doesn't work - cast and composer actions already broken. Don't wait till the end of July with shutting them down - ...

technical debt never gets fixed under bad leadership (usually people who don't understand how to make great software, but think they do, of course 🫠) product teams forced to compromise on quality will burn out and the users will leave the increasingly bad experiences in droves (look at the abysmal churn rate here). it's like not paying off a credit card and letting interest accrue until the interest alone outpaces your dwindling income the best time to fix a bug is never; an ounce of great engineering standards + specs is worth a pound each of automated testing, QA, and bug reports. the cost of the fix goes up exponentially after the bug is written until a refactor or rewrite becomes the only feasible option (but the decision-makers almost never allow these...pour one out) i'm not saying it's easy to do well; i dedicated most of my career to this craft and have failed pretty much continuously if you think you know better than your users, no you don't

agree it is hard to do it right, and it's also hard to sell the business you won't have any output because you're cleaning up the house more often than not we've just started all over from scratch for our web facing software, it's less an issue for the backend part of it
