Just had someone call me pretending to work for the Company I bought my cold storage wallet from. This was a sophisticated social engineering scam. I must stress it was sophisticated, perpetrated by Americans! The set up, did not ask for any Personally Identifiable Information they already had it. She only needed to confirm that I had not contacted them in an attempt to recover my wallet. Granted anyone that know knows this is not possible, however she then gave me a confirmation number that the security team would use to verify themselves. She wasn't pushy or rushed very smooth and even, she asked for a time frame when they could call, days later even to sell that lie and make it appear legit. While I find it interesting to keep scammer on the phone and lead them on as a little FU to waste their time, this was a step above every other scammer that I have ever spoken to! 😑 I stopped playing the game let her know I obviously knew the company will never call, and reported it. Reminder Be careful!

One word responses to post that don't fit the conversation, seems like it's also been flooded with bots! 🤷‍♂️ Agreed I like Coinbase and everything they are doing but it seems like even they post more content in Discord and X then they do on their own app. I have a feeling they are burning a lot of money on this everything app. Good concept, poor execution? I guess we will see. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe there's a deal that could be made to partner with X. Musk was burned by the PayPal, he has wanted to build a financial service, seems like Armstrong's and Musk have a shared vison. If Coinbase handled the financial side that they have mastered and X continued to do what it does best. With the number of users on X it would literally bring the world onchain overnight and would be the best platform out there! But it would be hard for the big personalities to share the spotlight so. 🤷‍♂️
