I find myself getting more frustrated with my older son because A. He is exactly like me I’m aware of it and catch myself some times, but it’s a constant battle It’s as though I punish him for being the things I don’t like about myself

This is soooo true. When they mirror exactly what we don’t like in ourselves it becomes a trigger point.
