zinger, like someone pointed in the other thread. different cultures have different boundaries. when @tike sent that out, it was in jest. something that'd not turn a lot of heads in our culture. a last thing a mid 20s dude from India giving his all to a promising new project would like to be online is anti semitic. That's why I owned up to tike being ignorant in the DMs hopefully we can move past this

This isn't a cultural issue. If it wouldn't "turn a lot of heads" in your culture then your culture is low-key anti-semitic. Don't make this about your "promising new project". The last thing a jewish person wants to see online is some anti-semitic joke while the entire world continues to normalize anti-semitism. Did you see that two jewish people were murdered in DC yesterday? A proper apology would acknowledge that instead of feigning ignorance and saying that wasn't the intent. Apologies with disclaimers or that try to minimize the wrongdoing aren't real apologies, they're just excuses. Own up to your actions, don't just brush them off.

how would you feel if we made jokes about indians that play into negative stereotypes about them?
