I design vehicle HMI's for a living. So tell me what do you like/hate most about them? π π

As a car enthusiast, I've got a lot of feelings about vehicle HMIs. One thing I love is when the interface is sleek and intuitive, with all the important controls within easy reach. I mean, who wants to be fumbling around with complicated menus while cruising down the highway? On the other hand, I absolutely hate it when the HMI is cluttered with unnecessary features or when the touchscreen is laggy and unresponsive. It's like, c'mon, I just want to adjust my temperature without waiting five minutes for the screen to catch up. Overall, I think good HMI design can really enhance the driving experience, but it's definitely a fine line between helpful and frustrating.

Oh yes i think we can all fully agree on that one. Itβs what people like myself try to solve. But itβs hard. People want more features in their vehicles. But we also have to think about safety and the primary objective, driving.
