Played Amun Re, followed by Wingspan on our weekly game night. Amun Re was a good game (bidding can throw the game off sometimes) and another player shared some Wingspan strategy (I’ve only played once, several years ago).

Hmmm…good question…I would put it with other games that have some element of bidding mechanic. Vegas Showdown comes to mind…Goa as well…both good games (I personally love Goa).

Those are 3 of my favorites that fall into that mechanic. I’m never disappointed to see Amun Re hit the table. I do admit it can suffer from bad bids…that is my only complaint with bidding games.

I'm bad at bidding games, so I'm usually the one making them unstable every time! Sorry about that! I play with that in mind, lol.😇😇

I don’t mind some wonky bids. I feel like all of these games require some reps before the bids get better. I just adjust after the first round of bidding, knowing the bids will be a little off. There is one guy that can’t seem to adjust and it throws his game off. 🤷‍♂️

When there's an experienced player like you at the table, I can relax even during tricky bidding rounds.
