What's the easiest way to allow anyone to join a channel? I.e I don't want to moderate it

yes, it will work even if you’re a moderator (not the owner). 

once you log in to cura.openrank.com, you’ll see a list of all the channels you’re moderating. From there, you can select which channel you’d like to manage.
