Base has officially reached Stage 1 decentralization 🟦 This means user funds are secured by Ethereum L1, not by any single operator. Funds can’t be stolen or frozen arbitrarily. However, Stage 1 doesn’t mean everything is decentralized yet. The sequencer is still centralized, so transaction ordering and censorship resistance are still in progress. Strong fund safety today, deeper decentralization coming next. Understanding the layers matters.
