We went to see Shane Gillis a few weeks ago and happened to sit next to a mom friend (20,000+ people in the arena ) whose daughter also has Down syndrome. At the end of the show Shane talked about the coffee shop he owns where they employ people with special needs. This mom and I were so emotional. He truly shined a light on how powerful it is to provide employment for those with disabilities and what a joy it is to know people with special needs

As silly as Shane is, he is the man! There is a cafe near me that has a partnership with the local high school and they only employ students with a variety of physical/cognitive challenges to give them employment/life skills
