They've created some good tech, I am a fan of their Lexicon data model & all the open source moderation & feed curation tools they've produced. But I loudly hear Thiel's 'Zero to One' call: it's possible to create a lot of value without capturing it. They've stylized themselves as a Public Benefit Corporation, but will they do a Sam Altman pivot to privatization? Or will they go the way of BitTorrent & Mozilla? It's possible to build private businesses on open protocols, see how Apple & Spotify use RSS.
