Honestly - because I have such high standards for the series - Like books 1-4 are perfect. But generally imi why I was disappointed is I was too right with all my predictions, so wasn't really surprised much - maybe simply because of how deep I was into the series and lore. Also there were some things in the writing style that bugged me a bit - like using dating rather than courting etc. However, it's still my favourite series, and having read all of Wheel of Time and the first 2 Malazan books, think it will stay as my favourite series. I hope Kaladin remains a main character tho, I fucking love that guy.

mm. tbh, i was a bit surprised at how things turned out for Kaladin. ...and yes, i really hope he remains a main character. there's still SO MUCH to explore. that's why i'm bullish on The Stormlight Archives.
