Amazing the memory loss that happens every time there is a new Republican president The left is extremely serious about power and has no reservations in doing what it takes to maintain it

Every party demonizes the opposing candidate at some point. This is not news nor is it partisan.

You’re proving my point. The opinion you’re showing here was relegated to a laughing stock. The opinions I shared about Bush that were just shifted onto Trump were and are mainstream opinion shared by academics, media, government, every household in Brookline, NoVA & Park Slope. Your point (itself a tangent from my claim that the left votes a certain way, still what I think is the important point in terms of polarization) was the left never reacted to Bush like Trump, which (with the caveat I already called out) is not true

@derek To be clear about the connection there - Democrats agree(d) with those claims about Bush or Trump being a fascist, war criminal, etc. John McCain publicly called out somebody for doing something not even as extreme to Obama in a town hall. There’s whole groups of “Republicans” dedicated to being anti/never Trump. Dems are united in opposition to Republicans. Republicans do not reciprocate
