How did I miss Coinbase plastering Washington DC with “Clarity Act informative chocolate bars” as a stunt in support of the legislation 

Plenty of money to keep buying W’s with left too: “the industry’s network of super PACs announced that it held over $141 million in cash as the crypto world prepared an “aggressive, targeted strategy” for the 2026 midterms.” 

It’s an open question if Americans SHOULD be eating chocolate daily but I digress

To put a point on this, I simply would not make a big show of how I am buying favor for my minority issue 

1/5 Americans is a MINORITY 

Every minute spent ramming this legislation through is a minute spent not working through the tough stuff that affects the MAJORITY 

I use crypto every day at this point. Yes probably all these laws would benefit me PERSONALLY 

But I want a good SOCIETY not PERSONAL BENEFITS 

Sometimes that means putting a pause on what’s good for me personally. Sometimes that means taking a hit so we all can have better, together 

And it’s depressing to see people who are otherwise against this type of thing cheerlead for it because it DOES benefit them

We are upping immigration enforcement to a point of real cruelty while the existing immigration laws stay unchanged. Why, for example, are we pissanting about with crypto when we could be working on the underlying laws that govern immigration? Executive orders like the one ending birthright citizenship only take you so far and can be easily challenged 

There are so many other issues like this. What a waste of everyone’s time all this is idk

Sadly, these dollars are spent with an expectation of ROI, not an expectation of improving the lives of human beings and the world.
