as an illustration of the problem: MM experimented with spending $$$ on getting people to post and build mini apps the feedback from many high quality posters was this made the feed worse since it encouraged engagement bait vs more niche, longer form posts the feedback from many high quality mini app devs is this filled the leaderboard with low quality pay-to-play style apps and crowded out high quality social native apps that didn't appeal to farmers spending money to get users can be very hard and done wrong actively harmful
