i. a huge W for LLMs. the writing has been on the wall for future of technical fields for some time now but until yesterday I would’ve said it wasn't yet so for literature
ii. we’ve reached peak (micro)craft (hopefully). contemporary writing has been captured by the MfA. tight, technically competent, self aware hyper micro crafted sentences is considered good writing. this is exactly the part of writing LLMs can excel at. i hope this leads to craft being discounted and the deeper, grander, more prophetic aspects elevated
