Telling stories is as old as humanity. It connects people, stimulates our imaginations, and takes us to unknown worlds. But what happens when we use storytelling to change our own lives?
To me, writing is not just recording words, but a dialogue with my inner self.
I'm a big girl in her thirties who felt stuck in her life. One day I decided to process my feelings and thoughts by writing a short story. My protagonist, a young woman searching for herself, became a mirror of my own life experience. Since then I've been writing every day for almost five years.
With every word I wrote, I saw parallels to my own life. The challenges my protagonist had to face reflected my fears and doubts. But just like my fictional heroine, I also began to discover and unlock my abilities and potential over the course of my stories.
Whether it's a diary, short stories, or just notes - writing became my path to self-realization and self-reflection.
