I ran earlier in the week, but was feeling pretty good this morning and decided to do a bonus run. Sub-23 minutes next week. I can feel it.

Because we’re American and that’s how we’re coded. I have no problem using either. I’ve become pretty good at converting quickly as I race internationally often. Metric is clearly a superior system though. A good benchmark is a 4 min per K pace = about 6:26 per mile pace

lol i know. im getting there but only with the kms. started running two months ago formally and it is so awesome wdym with a good benchmark? i ran 18 km today at 6 min/k and thats my record. on saturday i have a “test” and the target is 4:15 but my coach said that if I do 4:00 that would be a home run

I guess I just meant an easy conversion. I just use that because a 20 minute 5k is a good target to reach for. Another to use would be 5 min/k = about 8 min/mile 6 min/k = 9:39 min/mile

By “full triathlon” do you mean Ironman? Because Ironman is ultra distance. A standard distance triathlon is 1.5k swim 40k bike 10k run

I prefer Super sprint, sprint, standard distance and mixed team relay. Same events the Olympic athletes generally do. I’ve done 5 Ironmans and 20isg half Ironmans. I kind of find them boring and tedious. Ironman is more depleting and taxing on the body overall. The hardest distance to me is a race effort super sprint…you feel like you’re actually going to die
