Great night tonight, drinking some Pappy 15 yr off of the trailer hitch of a jeep while trying not to get kicked out of the country club parking lot. Had family in town from all over the country. It was my brother’s birthday, but really it was a “surprise wedding”

Awesome night, but with a dark undertone. The reason my brother was able to get married tonight was because his future “would be” racist mother in law passed away this year. He’s pretty “dark skinned” compared to me and she never would have accepted it. I love America, but yes, this is still a thing and n this day and age. But whatever, legendary night…

I like the EH but haven't enjoyed much of the Stagg. Across all the WL Wellers I've been happy, and would also say I haven't had too much special reserve. 

But like with anything Buffalo Trace is basically a big ole corporate play now, so the better stuff is probably (not always) from the smaller producers. BT makes an inoffensive stuff that they can sell a lot of, and they make bank doing it.

True. BT 100% has good marketing. IMO, the best products they have are the entire EH Taylor line, William Laure Weller, and George T Stagg. 

I used to like Weller SR (green) but it’s bland AF. I probably have 150 bottles on my main bar and it’s my least favorite.

Well, it's got good marketing at least 

Weller used to be the move to get the quality at a fraction of the cost but that's inflated like crazy.
