i was at a wedding this past sunday at a greek orthodox church. there’s something about the timing, about the moment, when the light catches the altar, in the shekinah glory kind of way, where the light dwells just as the bride and groom shared their vows, entering a covenant and becoming one flesh.

a scared act and holy moment of yes and amen.

I sang in the high church -  while I no longer believe the dogma, I absolutely believe the power of union, of love - blessings to them ;-)

the altar is an exchange. 

i’m excited as the day awaits, for that those glorious day /with those around us that will protect the convenant and my ezer kĕnegdô, bride hand in hand, both of us yoked and holy before God and witnesses
