We were clearly not the only ones in the Bay Area with this spontaneous idea to fly last night. Never seen this many planes in one spot above San Francisco. But it was breathtaking to see everyone celebrating in the hills, along the beaches, in the Embarcadero, and all over Oakland. “Gave proof through the night that the flag was still there.” 🇺🇸

Based on how much complex information I see you devour on a daily basis, I think it’d be a quick journey for you to a PPL. :)

We’re not familiar with the LA area, but there’s a lot you can do on your own before your first flight lesson. Since you’re such an infovore, you’d probably enjoy diving into ground initially, which you don’t need a flight school to do. It’d also be a big step toward your PPL. My husband recommended Sporty’s online ground school course as it covers everything you need for the FAA written exam. The FAA also has all the reference materials available for free on their website as PDFs. If that interests you, DM me your email and I’ll have him forward you a helpful message with all these links he wrote for another friend exploring flight training. :)
