I just tried the Gemini code assistant in Google AI Studio for the first time...

...and it absolutely knocked my request to build an Angular app out of the park. One-shotted. Nailed it. 10/10. No notes.

It’s impressively fast! I’d expect no less from Google given how vertically integrated it must be with Google Cloud.

I tried the default Gemini and it got confused thinking I wanted it to generate an image when I clearly stated “write code”. I was disappointed!
