My waiter told me that they no longer accept American Express
 because of Brexit. Apparently England was the guarantor of the US money system for all of the EU, but since they pulled out, the American banks have had to negotiate agreements with every individual country. How tedious. “It’s been two months since it started working in Germany, so I think about two months before it starts working over here.”

Everywhere I’ve been, they see me take out my Amex and quickly tell me “no amex”. Poland, England, France, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy Still will keep trying in other countries

You should connect with disic, who said: 'Might be complicated because of EU and non-EU so it’s still different business units. Had the same issue before. Maybe check with Santander? They’re more legacy but they are around in both countries and are supposed to be pretty innovative.'
