In 2026 we should be far beyond wasting our tokens, CPU cycles and brain cycles fighting decade-old architecture decisions as if tradeoffs don't exist. There are so many credible alternatives in UI frameworks today, with far better primitives and defaults for state management and DOM manipulation, and it costs literally nothing to try them.
