Farcaster Pro was an easy choice given how much time and effort I’ve already invested here, but I wonder if it might alienate newcomers over the long run. The last thing you want when you’re new to a social network is to feel like you’re fighting an incumbent vocal minority for mindshare in a pay-to-play game.

*The key word being “feel like”. Even if the system isn't actually set up this way, just the presence of a Pro subscription could create the wrong perception for some if not over-communicated enough to them. https://farcaster.xyz/ted/0x5edd038d

I think this is the case for me. Do I have the money to pay it for? Yes, Do I see value on it? Kindof. But overall the main issue is that for small accounts 120USD is a high entry point, for others is easy because in general they have made hundreds with the leaderboard rewards. Let's see how it evolves.

This is worth considering, especially when the implication (based upon other platforms) is a reach boost based upon purchase of verification.
