It’s absolutely insane to me how many restaurants are closed on Cape Cod for the entire 4th of July weekend. They have an economy for like 2.5 months here and choose to be closed for the busiest weekend in that time frame

I mean I get it in places where people live and go out to eat year round. Outside of mid June - end of August it’s basically a ghost town here

It is wild that so many are close everywhere tbh. I was driving through a city near where I live and tons were shut down. I get closing early, but it was like 3pm. At least get the dinner rush

My gf and I had a place on MV for a week years ago and left after 3 days for the same reason. Went to Hawaii instead

years ago visited an old college friend who had a place on Martha's Vineyard - didn't stay long after we realized the bars around her closed at 11PM!  haven't been back since ...🤣
