My side hustle is renovating our 60s MCM style house. 

Here’s a before > after of part of our kitchen renovation we just finished. 

We reconfigured the layout to support a full range wall, which was tricky to accommodate given the age of the house and the low pitched roof customary to MCM era houses but we think it was worth it. 

I’m a big fan of midcentury, 70s and Japanese modernism - styles we tried to capture with this design.

We moved back in once floors were installed. No appliance, cabinets or sink which meant lots of takeout. I’ve long been opposed to air fryers but I finally caved so we could heat up food while we waited for our oven to get installed. And now we probably use our air fryer more than our range 😬.
