Been thinking about the user experience of the new Base App vs Farcaster App. It feels like they're becoming two different tools for two different jobs, and that's a brilliant thing for the ecosystem. The Base App: The perfect "front door" for the mainstream. It's simple, clean, and the best onboarding experience for someone's first on-chain social interaction. It's for broad reach. Farcaster Clients: The "power user" hub. It's for deep engagement, governance, and the rich, chaotic energy that drives the culture forward. It's for community depth. Super bullish on both.

Pre-internet: newspapers that reported the same content for different audiences, but without transparency or user input, slowly, at a small cost to the reader, with strong financial incentives for creators. Web 1: websites that presented different content for different audiences, quickly and cheaply, with user input but without transparency, at no cost to the reader, with weak financial incentives to the creators. Web2: platforms that presented the same content for different audiences, quickly and cheaply with user input, but without transparency, at no cost to the reader, with weak financial incentives for creators. Web3: dApps that present the same content to different audiences, quickly and cheaply, with user input and full transparency, at no cost to the reader, with strong financial incentives for creators.
