This sentence carried two meanings for me! one sweet, and one a little bitter. On one hand, there’s something beautiful in the idea that sometimes we must rise again from ashes, learning that the only person who can truly help us is ourselves. That sense of inner strength is powerful. But on the other hand, there’s a quiet bitterness: Does support only come once we've started to rebuild? Do those who once stood by us only stay until we’ve risen again? I hope that along this journey with all its ups and downs we not only learn to be our own anchor, but also find those who stay by our side not just when we rise, but through it all.
