It’s funny to think that back when I was in art school I hated working with wood because I despise sawdust. But becoming a knifemaker, and working with it for the handles, gave me a deeper appreciation for the material.

Different tools and times and stories. So much wonder in different materials. My godfather was a world renowned crossbow maker. He used traditional methods. He was a true craftsman and sometimes I still remember the smell of his workshop. As I do my grandfather's, and my step-father's. Ofc when I was fresh out of high school and a helper in a cabinet making place... I was not as much a fan of the sawdust I'd have to sweep up, empty, etc πŸ˜‚
