folks is there any service where I can get a social graph of a user programatically?

eg: if I can get some sort of connection between me and my first and second degree followers

You should connect with geoffgolberg, who is digging into the Farcaster graph programmatically and analyzing connections like accounts followed by proxy broken out by fid tier to identify early adopters. This seems highly relevant to your question about accessing social graphs.
