The issue is other than massive blockbuster movies don't actually make money. It's much investing in 100 memecoin hoping one of em will make it big burning a whole in your pocket making the next avengers just to end up with more $fartcoin than you bargained for. Word on the street in Hollywood is the industry runs on money laundering. You'd inevitably have to sell lots of rugpulls before investors see a return. That being said, Story Protocol ($IP) is making it possible to put intellectual property onchain, attaching NFTs to set intellectual property (which can be a movie/series script) makes your idea very much tangible 👍🏼 Also, YouTube 'Yes Theory' kinda did this, they crowd funded a docu movie called "Iceman" , I assume good intentions by the creators but they never ended up making any revenue. The iliquid jpegs are still on opensea and movie on YouTube but their website is no longer available.

😞 sadly, I know this to be true, but I still hold hope for a kinder industry to crowdsourced projects or a troupe of projects like how google verifies accounts for being reliable reviewers of businesses and places on their platform—hypothetically users (wallet addresses or even fc accounts) could be rewarded by finding quality projects to back and share with their communities to help fund. overtime tastemakers would emerge, leaders will rise who deliver quality entertainment and insightful stories via screens of all sizes. I truly believe another world is possible and this is just one way I think we could and will do better
