i suppose a mind can sense itself, or maybe that is what a mind is.. an object that can sense itself primarily, before and required for percepts

I think it depends on if we believe that minds can only exist in a physical world rather than believing they can exist in both a metaphysical world and a physical world

i think minds (experiencers) exist in an abstract realm, like a spiritual or metaphysical plane (another dimension>?), but are the result of information processing feedback loops in physical systems and are representing an abstract compression of those systems and themselves, the abstractor i think a mind could exist without a body, like a language is self aware bodyless consciousness. do you think minds can exist without patterns in the physical world? entirely independent in a metaphysical world and if so, are they casual / logical or acausal / post rational??

They definitely can however it is incredibly difficult to be that pure I believe in Buddhism so to me those who have reached enlightenment are those who have broken out of their patterns and in turn their auffering

ahh ya, there are no forms on still water. i tend to think of enlightenment has having a stable connection to that spaciousness, being able to access it in any moment, by realizing that you already always can (and that an enlightened being is what you already always are). that there is nothing to attain

Interesting… i think that souls are pure but we get clouded through suffering. When you take out everything negative, all thats left is purity and thats enlightenment.
