been getting maya (my ai assistant) to make calls for all chores - doctor appointment, plumbers, mortgage insurance etc.
it’s amazing how people on the other side talk to an AI patiently despite knowing it’s a bot
I usually replay the call to see how it went and feel a little bit of cringe. I will get used to it I guess.
some things I noticed:
- maya did not know what name or number to give itself when they ask who they are talking to. it just resorts to software assistant.
- a doctor’s office asked it to get authorization on a form for them to share records with it. Maya reached out to me asking to fill a form.
- how persistent it is. a plumber changed the time on me. and it’s like czar booked for this date, is there anyway you can honor it?
- I give it a date I need to get something done. it’s so persistent in hammering that message everytime it talks to the other party
really loving it teaching all the skills and training it to be really helpful.
my wife is shocked that I am getting it to do all this.
