Think Rish is being transparent here. Decentralizing snapchain isnt a near term focus for Neynar. He is being upfront about it.
Even if it is backward compatible in this instance, things may not be the same in the future. Differences in philosophies like this will inevitably clash in the future.
At the same time, I am glad someone like Cassie who so fundamentally believes in decentralization is going to do a hard fork of snapchain.
Think this is the right outcome for both parties.
