Criminal Investigation Against the Fed Chair 😱 A criminal investigation has been opened against Jerome Powell over the “gold-plated” renovation of the Federal Reserve building. They are talking about $2.5 billion in spending. But in reality, the investigation was launched because the Fed is not yielding to political pressure and is not cutting rates when the president wants it to. In essence, Powell stated that the accusations are a response to the Fed’s independent policy, not a budget issue. Why this matters: — Powell’s term ends in 2026 — Donald Trump has been criticizing him for a long time — Calls to cut rates have been coming for months If the Fed truly starts being broken under political pressure, we can forget about an independent monetary system. And that directly hits the dollar, interest rates, financial markets — and, of course, crypto.

Vitalik Buterin believes that Ethereum should support application-tools — like a hammer: you buy it and it’s yours, without dependence on a provider, updates, or risks of shutdown, hacking, or rent extraction. To achieve this, it is necessary to develop: full quantum resistance, a scalable architecture, a state model designed to last for decades, a proper gas schedule, a universal account model (full abstraction, abandoning rigid dependence on ECDSA), a sustainable PoS economic model, as well as decentralized and censorship-resistant block building. At the same time, at least one of these points should be implemented every year — ideally several.
