Just thinking out loud about the new pro subscription on Farcaster… I was genuinely happy to subscribe because I want to support the platform and the community, definitely not for any kind of special status. It's just that, for me, seeing the badges on every single post in the feed has started to make things feel a bit divided, and I've even noticed a few posts creating a kind of 'pro vs. not-pro' vibe, which isn't really what Farcaster's about. My friendly thought was maybe the badge could be awesome on our profiles, but perhaps removed from the main feed itself to help keep that great, inclusive community feel for everyone.

I honestly don't see this overkill, why should people take sides over something so trivial? I don't currently have a badge but I don't see what should change with those who do.... now we are no longer friends?

Perhaps naming it “Pro” wasn’t the best decision. It sounds like one is superior to the other. I don’t have another idea right now, but there must be better options available.

Yeah I get the sentiment, I think for people who have been on the app long enough it wouldn't be an issue , but for new users who don't really have a base on here it might really feel daunting initially

I kind of understand where you are coming from - maybe stems from the CT landscape that we are so used to but the community here is pretty based! - i dont have a badge but i dont think that’s going to limit me in any way!
