Robinhood is building a Layer 2 blockchain on Arbitrum. The goal? Power tokenized real-world assets—starting with stocks. Yes, stocks on-chain.

Why EU first? Because the regulatory environment is clearer there. Last week, even Gemini announced tokenized stocks in the EU (starting with $MSTR). The race is on.

Robinhood’s L2 is still in development—but it’s ambitious: ✅ 24/7 trading ✅ Self-custody ✅ Bridging across chains The end goal? A fully onchain version of Robinhood across multiple countries.

Alongside tokenized stocks, EU users will also get access to perpetual futures—routed through Bitstamp, which Robinhood recently acquired. Access comes with a quiz to ensure traders are qualified & compliant.

What about US users? 🇺🇸 Not left behind. Robinhood is finally rolling out Ethereum and Solana staking in the US—already live in the EU for over a year. Plus, US users will now be able to choose tax lots when selling crypto. This means you can select which bitcoin (or sats) to sell—helping optimize capital gains.

Robinhood says it’s ready to launch similar features in the US—just waiting on more regulatory clarity. In the meantime, it's building the tech to be ready when the green light comes.
