According to CNBC, SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said the $TRUMP token is outside the agency's regulatory scope. She noted that since the SEC no longer oversees meme coins, investors shouldn't expect any guidance on $TRUMP. In February, the SEC announced that most meme coins are not considered securities under U.S. federal law.
