The Power of Light shines through beautifully but with an ominous glow /nature contrasting the power above in the dark unstable clouds accompanying a fast moving squall that came complete with speed, lightning and thunder so very close. The power of the wind and sea gave reprieve once breathtakingly close to the island. I distinctly recall watching lightning strike ocean and the island as it split up both sides of my vessel and marched towards us, up the entire length of SCI, then cleared the tip and molded right back into one dark angry storm then bolted towards Catalina. With a metal tower structure rising high above my station, I prayed the electric bolts would not find it, and once it past the powerful glow dipped into the horizon. A climactic barrage of energy that I almost did not take time to capture with our safety the utmost priority. @mandolinaes @jonathancolton DAUNTING ARRIVAL

My little prodigy a couple years back already, in nature at our local steep coarse sand beach enclosed by cliffs, where the water's edge turns the seafloor from sand to reef. Shared the image for Monochrome Monday in ITAP, full color original version here for /nature frens
