Scary thought: Our capacity for innovation is accelerating far faster than our capacity for collective wisdom. And on that note, Imana go generate some more cat pics.

My son sends me AI progress updates regularly . The acceleration rate is off the scale. As will be the redundancies. wot collective wisdom anyway?? We’ve voted in the likes of trump, ±boris johnson etc to run our countries . Not sure if putin was elected.

Disparity in knowledge and mental capacity is growing. This is accelerated by the innovation in tech. The actual scary thought is what are the 98% below the knowledge poverty line going/willing to do to catch up.

Theres trouble brewing as without basic universal, income in usa theyre fvcked. We have basics in terms of health/education/socual welfare in most european countries and aren’t anti tax. Corporations need to be taxed for these massive excess gains due to AI /redundancies which will boost their share prices exponentially. 200 IQ employees for $1 or $2 an hour. Trump is not going to tax them. Add in the tariff nonsense the ecobonuc fallout is going to be huge. Loads of graduates with $250k fee loans with no jobs and their degrees worth toilet paper and mostly gained through chat gpt anyway (i know many have qualified that way)
